Thornbridge x Newbarns, Gelbvieh, Kelleriber, 5.2%
Style: Kellerbier (Lager)
Gelbvieh (pronounced ‘Gel-Fee’) is a Franconian style Kellerbier. Brewed with Newbarns Brewery in Leith, Scotland.
Expect an unfiltered and hazy gold lager with a robust bitterness and a floral, spicy hop character, dashed with notes of strawberry and fresh melon.
Gelbvieh is named after a classic Bavarian cattle breed originating from the Franconian Region. Similar looking to both Simmentals and Limousins, which are found at both Newbarns Farm and in the grounds of Thornbridge Hall.
